radiogoogooradiogaga: This teenager named Kelvin Doe from Sierra Leone built his own radio station. Let me say that again: he built a radio station. And that’s not even the best bit. This is: he built it using scrap electronics that he found in junk heaps. I don’t even really understand what it means to build a radio station (which includes a generator, amplifier, and “other components,” according to this blog post), but I know that it sounds awesome. Too bad I can’t attend the lecture Doe will be making to the Harvard School of Engineering to find out more.   If you’re in New York you can see what Doe is up to at the Maker Faire.
